What is Refrigeration?

The term refrigeration means to cooling a space, or system to lower and/ or maintain its temperature below the ambient one. In other words, refrigeration is artificial cooling. Refrigeration is the process of moving heat from one space to another. It can take many different forms, the most common being direct expansion cooling.

Air conditioning has been used for drying, humidity control, dust and smoke abatement. Refrigeration is the process of lowering the temperature of a substance below that of its surroundings for air conditioning.  The refrigeration cycle contains four major components: the compressor, condenser, expansions device, and evaporator. Refrigerant remains piped between these four components and is contained in the refrigerant loop.
